This was a fun exercise last year, so I thought I’d do it again since I haven’t been able to focus on blogging for the last week or so. Rules are the same as last year: 1 photo, 200 words or less.
With 15 minutes to spare between landing in Vegas and my boarding time for my Chicago connection, I sprinted to my gate.
Surprise! I was early, not late. So I put a dollar into a slot machine, only to lose it it because I didn’t understand that particular game. I paid closer attention, put in a dollar, and got lucky.
And then I got the hell out and on my plane. It’s not enough to be lucky; you have to know when to take the win and walk away.
I didn’t have time to cash it in, but that’s okay. I have to fly through Vegas on my way home anyway. Until then, it’s a lucky charm.
