This round brings together two new bracket competitors that wound up being very familiar. Will this closely seeded match up give us the first upset of the tournament? Let’s dive into these carbonated waters to find out.
And if you missed yesterday’s match up, you can find that here.
#4 Bubly Orange

Bubly took last year’s title with Blackberry, so I fully expected this year’s contenders from the brand to make a strong showing in this year’s bracket.
Bubly Orange definitely came through on that front. Sunkist is my favorite orange soda (Orange Crush is okay and Orange Fanta is straight garbage) and Bubly Orange gives me strong Sunkist vibes. Bubly knocks it out of the park, performing far stronger than its middling seeding would suggest.
#5 AHA Blueberry Pomegranate

AHA arrived on my local shelves this year and I was intrigued by the fact that every can is a combination of two flavors. However, this actually worked against them, because many varieties are half something I wasn’t interested in. Prime example: coffee with black cherry, ugh.
However, I like blueberry and pomegranate, so this seemed promising. Unfortunately, it tasted…. stale? But also vaguely familar?
Aha! They were CocaCola — aka Dasani — all along! Dasani Blueberry Pomegranate was in last year’s bracket, so this entry wound up being a stealth returner.
Winner
Citrus and berries are my two favorite fruit flavor profiles, so I was expecting this closely seeded match to me a tight race. But no, Bubly Orange blew the competition out of the (carbonated) water. I’m interested in trying more from AHA when I’m free to browse the aisles of my local supermarket at my leisure, but for now, Bubly Orange advances with ease.
