We’re just over a month into a new year but I feel like I’m still wrapping up 2019.
There’s no denying we’re falling into the last quarter of the year.
Summertime, and the resolutions are easy?
We’re into the second half of the year now and I’ll be real with you: I haven’t thought about these resolutions since the last time I wrote about them. But hey, at least writing this monthly post is a good reminder to myself?
Getting back into my writing routine means writing routine things. I missed writing last month’s resolution update in both senses of the word: it never got written and I felt its absence.
April always sneaks up on me. March starts off as a leisurely month. Rainy day relaxation now that the drought is over. Sunshine returns with daylight savings. Then, the end starts to creep up on me and say, “Surprise! You’re birthday’s here!”
Funny how January seems to drag on for centuries while February passes by in the blink of an eye. This February proved that to be especially true.
It’s one month into 2019. I’m not going to lie to you and say that I’m crushing it, that I’m taking life by the balls, etc. It’s been a rough start. But it’s still a start.
No one likes feeling like a failure, so I like setting qualitative resolutions. They’re easier to stick to, and when I do occasionally slip up, they’re easy to get going again.
