I feel like I just did one of these? Oh yeah, it’s because February’s a hella short month and I procrastinated on it. Anyway, we’re back on track and reviewing the stuff I’m gonna put on my face. Let’s go.
It’s February 28th, March is staring me in the face, so it’s time to get in my February review/January update for the things I’ve been putting on my face. And hair. And body. Whatever, let’s do this.
New year, same(ish) face! This month, a bonus contender enters the ring and I look back at how December’s boxes fared.
As this blog is ever in a state of me experimenting with it, I’m trying something this month to keep me a little more accountable. Every Sunday for the rest of the month, I’ll be posting a preview of the week’s blog posts. I’m shooting for a leisurely Tuesday/Friday posting schedule for January, so let’s see how it all works out.
Quidditch? On this blog? Groundbreaking.
This week is quidditch themed. (Surprise, surprise.) Tuesday will kick off my 2017 Year in Review series. I’ll be reflecting on last year’s ups and downs (but mostly ups, I swear!) in my favorite nerd sport.
On Friday, I’ll be writing about competition but comparing quidditch to one of my other favorite things: the Great British Bakeoff.
Miscellaneous shameless plugs
If you liked my first Beauty Box Battle, my January subscriptions should be in by Friday. That means I’ll have an update ready for next week!
My friend/teammate/fellow opinionated person Ra Hopkins just started their own blog! It’s called Cupcake Does Things. If you enjoy my attempts not to write about quidditch all the time because I totally have other interests, really!, then you should check it out. Their new year’s resolutions are far more ambitious than mine but I can’t wait to see their progress.
Shoutout to my Instagram boyfriend Jimmy for taking the cover photo for this post after brunch this morning. There’s no connection to this week’s content; I just really like that mural and my outfit today.
Oh, and follow my blog with Bloglovin if you’re into that sort of thing.
I might be taking a break from getting wardrobe makeovers from my mailman (yes, he is a man — and a curmudgeon at that) but that doesn’t mean I won’t be getting mailbox makeovers anymore. I’ve been kicking this idea around for a while but I decided to pull the trigger in time for the new year.
